Bio

Szabolcs Blazsek obtained a Ph.D. in Economics degree from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (June 2007), and a M.Sc. in Business Administration degree from Corvinus University of Budapest (June 2001). Szabolcs has worked as an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Sciences of University Carlos III of Madrid (2001 to 2007), as an Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Business of Universidad de Navarra (2007 to 2012), and as a professor of the School of Business of Universidad Francisco Marroquin (2012 to present). He teaches and performs academic research in the fields of finance and econometrics at undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. Some of his articles appear in Journal of Econometrics, Economics Letters, Empirical Economics, Studies in Nonlinear Dynamic & Econometrics, and The European Journal of Finance. Szabolcs presented at several international conferences of economics (for example, in Spain, France, Germany, and the UK). Szabolcs directed several Undergraduate, Master’s, and Ph.D. theses, participated in externally financed research projects, and performed several academic duties at Universidad de Navarra and Universidad Francisco Marroquín.
