Entrepreneurship and Business Venturing
This course is designed to introduce students to the concepts of entrepreneurship and business venturing. Students will learn how all the major functions of a business come together in a new venture. We will discuss how to generate new ideas, recognize opportunities, form a venture team, evaluate opportunities, and design a firm to bring the ideas to life. Entrepreneurship is sometimes defined as the discovery, enactment, and pursuit of new business opportunities. The study of entrepreneurship requires an interdisciplinary approach, encompassing strategy, economics, psychology, and management functions including human resources, marketing, finance, and operations.
