La flexibilidad estratégica de un negocio esta íntimamente relacionada a la flexibilidad financiera del mismo. Mi contribución a través del curso es explorar las alternativas que el mundo financiero de hoy ofrece, para viabilizar financieramente un negocio y tener la mejor probabilidad de éxito en el mismo. Durante el curso se revisaran estructuraciones financieras reales que se han implementado y ejecutado a nivel regional y debido a la experiencia de haber participado directamente en ellas poder motivar las discusiones sobre una perspectiva practica.

Edgar Hernandez holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics, and an MBA from Incae Business School in Costa Rica and Goizueta Business School at Emory. He has participated in an advanced financial derivatives program at NYU, has been the lead professor for the International Finance class at UFM for more than 10 years, and participates in numerous professional associations.
Experiencia
Mr. Hernandez was selected as one of the top 40 most influential professionals and businessman under 40 in Central America and Panama by “Mercados & Tendencias ” magazine. He has been invited as a Professor for the Advanced Financial Program at Incae Business School and as a guest speaker at Seminars related to Innovative Business Models sponsored by Harvard Business School Strategy Course.
Mr. Hernandez has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Local Stock Exchange, La Libertad and Atlantic Oil Energy Companies, Santa Ana Sugar Mill, Occidente Financial and Insurance Service Companies, among others, and was the CEO of Grupo Occidente a group with interests in the Agribusiness and Financial Services Industries.
He is Founding Partner and Director of Santander Sugar Group in Belize and H Pacific Capital Private Equity Holdings, which holds interests in SunCredit Lending Group, MnC Labs Digital Agency as well as several Real Estate and Energy assets.
He is the lead advisor for a Leading Regional Bank, has thorough experience in Investment Banking activities through his work in Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, and has been the Lead structurer for more than two Billion Dollars in deals throughout the region.
