Bio
Dr. Joseph Mukidiyil Johnson is Professor of Marketing at the University of Miami and member of the Big Data Center at UM’s Institute for Data Science. At UM he teaches AI in Marketing Analytics, New Product Development, Strategic Brand Management and a doctoral seminar on Deep Learning methods for marketing management. His current research focuses on the use of artificial intelligence tools as a decision aid for managers.
His research has appeared in leading journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing, and the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. His paper on market entry strategies into India and China won the Paul Root Best Paper Award from the Journal of Marketing in 2008.
He has thirty plus years of consulting experience, in computational models in the pharma, health care, automobile, steel, petroleum, aviation, digital marketing, entertainment, produce and hospitality industries.
